Construction of the highly anticipated Cerritos-to-Highway 1 toll road has ground to a halt following fierce protests from the Pescadero Yoga Retreat Owners Association. The yogis argue the asphalt will decimate the natural habitat of hallucinogenic toads, completely jeopardizing their sacred sunset licking rituals and forcing them to meditate naturally.
