In a stunning display of "decentralized" governance, the co-founder of Ethereum Name Service, Nick Johnson, used his considerable voting power to effectively block the renewal of the ENS DAO's Security Council. Apparently, one whale's "concerns" trump the collective wisdom of the masses, or at least the few who bothered to vote. It's just like trying to get the neighborhood HOA to agree on anything, except with more zeros and less actual oversight. Here in Baja, if one person has that much power, we just call them "the boss" and hope they don't cut off the water.
