Mexican Football Federation Fined 42 Million Pesos for Fan ID Data Privacy Violations
The Secretariat of Anti-Corruption and Good Government has fined the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) 42.8 million pesos for violating personal data protection laws concerning the Fan ID system. The FMF failed to properly inform fans about the use of sensitive biometric data and obtain explicit consent.
