Giant Kangaroos Roamed New Guinea Coast Until 6,500 Years Ago
Fossil evidence suggests that a species of giant kangaroo, distinct from modern kangaroos, inhabited the mountainous rainforests of New Guinea as recently as 6,500 years ago.
