Morena has suspended the party rights of Tenancingo Mayor Nancy Nápoles, who is accused by the State of Mexico Prosecutor's Office of an elaborate self-kidnapping scheme. Nápoles allegedly staged her own abduction to illicitly collect a ransom from municipal funds.
