The Indian government temporarily blocked Telegram after discovering the platform was used to facilitate cheating during a national medical entrance exam.

The Indian government said Telegram was used to "defraud candidates" taking the NEET medical entrance exam. The messaging app, which is very popular in the country, is due to be unblocked after the exam has taken place.
