Iran has declared its intent to target any vessel traffic in the Strait of Hormuz in response to US military strikes. The US Central Command stated the strikes were a reaction to Iran's 'unwarranted and continued aggression'.

U.S. Central Command said in a social media post that the military is striking "multiple targets in Iran" and that it's being done "in response to Iran's unwarranted and continued aggression".
