Bulgarian FM Urges US Diplomacy on Ukraine, Cites Own Election Experience
Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova suggests the US should seize diplomatic opportunities regarding Ukraine, drawing parallels to Bulgaria's own recent resolution of a prolonged electoral crisis with the election of Rumen Radev.
Bulgaria has become notorious for holding elections. In 5 years, voters went to the polls 8 times. But this debilitating crisis finally ended on April 19th, when the Progressive Bulgaria party won an outright majority. It is led by the former president, Rumen Radev, now the prime minister.
