2026 World Cup Opening Day Not a Mandatory Holiday for Workers
Despite anticipated excitement, the opening day of the 2026 Football World Cup, June 11th, will not be a mandatory public holiday. Mexico's Federal Labor Law does not include the event's inauguration as an official day off for the workforce.
