WHO Chief Visits DR Congo Ebola Epicenter as Cases Exceed One Thousand
The World Health Organization's Director-General is visiting Bunia, DR Congo, as the Ebola outbreak sees suspected cases rise above 1,000. Authorities are working to supply protective equipment and build community trust.
The number of suspected cases of Ebola continues to rise by the day... now above the thousand mark. On the ground, Congolese authorities are scrambling to provide protective equipment which is in short supply, and to establish trust within communities to help fight the spread of the virus.
