Mexico and the European Union have signed a modernized global agreement, updating trade in agricultural products, services, and government procurement, and adding new clauses on investment protection, anti-corruption, and sustainable development. The ratification process is expected to conclude by mid-2026, potentially allowing for benefits to be realized this year.
