The Cobach union in Baja California Sur is threatening to occupy the Government Palace in La Paz due to unresolved salary negotiations. Their strike, which began May 18th, affects 560 workers and 9,000 students across the state, as the union seeks a 15% salary increase while the government offers a much lower, unofficial 2.79%.
