US Extends Sanctions Waiver on Russian Oil for 30 Days
The United States has granted a 30-day extension on sanctions waivers for Russian seaborne oil, aiming to assist vulnerable nations in accessing this resource. The decision allows for temporary access to oil currently at sea.
The latest “temporary 30-day general license” will “provide the most vulnerable nations with the ability to temporarily access Russian oil currently stranded at sea,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a social media post.
