WHO declares Ebola outbreak in DRC and Uganda a global health emergency
The World Health Organization has declared the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda a public health emergency of international concern. As of May 16, 2026, 246 suspected cases have been reported in DRC.
