Contrary to some claims, Mexican historical and anthropological disciplines are actively investigating and disseminating knowledge about the cosmovisions and practices of pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican ancestors. Recent focus includes findings from the Huey Tzompantli of Mexico-Tenochtitlan.
