La Paz has launched "Operation Hurricanes 2026," a comprehensive plan making it the first municipality in Mexico to proactively prepare for the upcoming active hurricane season. This extensive operation mobilizes over 700 personnel, dozens of vehicles, and 32 shelters to protect communities across Baja California Sur, including Todos Santos and El Pescadero.
