British chemists David Klenerman and Shankar Balasubramanian, along with French biophysicist Pascal Mayer, have been awarded the Princess of Asturias Award for Research. They were recognized for developing technology that enables rapid, accurate, low-cost, and large-scale DNA sequencing.
