IMCO Warns School Year Cutbacks Could Increase Educational Lag and Burden on Women
The Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO) warns that shortening the 2026-2027 school year, as proposed by the Ministry of Public Education due to high temperatures and the World Cup, could worsen educational lag and inequality. The reduction might also increase the caregiving burden on women.
