Mexico's National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) is appealing to the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) to refrain from shortening the school year. The CNDH argues that such a move, reportedly to accommodate the World Cup, would unfairly prioritize a sporting event over the educational rights and well-being of children and adolescents.
