Russian Hacker Pleads Guilty to US Oil and Gas Infrastructure Attacks
A Russian hacker, Artem Vladimirovich Revenskii, pleaded guilty to charges related to breaching and damaging critical oil and gas infrastructure in the U.S. and other countries. Revenskii, part of the Russian-sponsored hacker group Sector16, collaborated in cyberattacks targeting countries considered adversaries of the Russian government. These attacks included taking control of oil pumps and storage depots in various U.S. states.
