Mexico's Treasury reintroduces gasoline tax stimulus after oil price surge.
Mexico's Treasury has reactivated fiscal stimuli for premium gasoline, the first time since October 2023, in response to rising oil prices driven by the US-Iran conflict. This measure, part of the government's inflation control plan, also includes an agreement to cap diesel prices at 27 pesos per liter. The stimulus, effective May 2-8, provides tax relief for premium, Magna gasoline, and significantly for diesel.
