Mexico Remains Most Dangerous Country for Journalists in Latin America
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has declared Mexico the most lethal country for journalists in Latin America for at least 15 years, ranking it 122 out of 180 globally. The report highlights that over 150 journalists have been killed and 28 disappeared since 2000, indicating a severe and persistent crisis for press freedom. Despite a slight improvement in ranking, RSF notes this is due to other countries worsening, not an actual improvement in Mexico's conditions for journalists.
