Tim Cook Steps Down as Apple CEO, Transitioning to Board Chair
Apple announced that Tim Cook will step down as CEO by September, replacing him with John Ternus, the current Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering. Cook will transition to the position of Executive Chairman of the Board, following unanimous board approval.
