Uganda and DRC forces free 200 hostages from ADF militants
Uganda's military, collaborating with forces from the Democratic Republic of Congo, successfully freed approximately 200 hostages. The operation targeted Islamist militant groups identified as the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in eastern DRC.
Uganda's military has said that it and forces from the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo freed some 200 hostages in eastern DRC in a joint operation against Islamist militants known as the ADF.
