Myanmar's New Leader Commutes All Death Sentences
The former military junta leader, Min Aung Hlaing, has issued a blanket order commuting all death sentences in Myanmar. This move comes after the junta resumed executions following the 2021 coup.
Min Aung Hlaing, leader of Myanmar’s junta and last week installed as the country’s civilian president, has issued a blanket order to commute all death sentences.
