Lebanon and Israel plan direct talks in Washington
Representatives from Lebanon and Israel are set to meet in Washington this week for their first direct talks in many years. The discussions are viewed as a significant and symbolic step toward normalizing relations between the two long-time adversaries.
Lebanese and Israeli representatives were set to meet Tuesday in Washington for their first direct talks in decades.
