Global Institutions Urge Nations to Halt Energy Hoarding and Export Controls
The IMF, World Bank, and IEA have warned nations against accumulating energy supplies and imposing export restrictions. The IEA noted that the ongoing conflict has caused severe global energy disruptions, damaging numerous oil and gas facilities across West Asia.
IEA Executive Director Birol said earlier that the conflict had triggered the worst global energy disruption ever, with more than 80 βoil and gas facilities across West Asia damaged to date.
