China advances solid-state batteries for safer, long-range EVs
Chinese automakers are rapidly advancing solid-state battery technology, promising EVs that are both safer and capable of greater ranges. This new solid-state approach is seen as a superior alternative to current liquid lithium-ion batteries.
Chinese electric vehicle (EV) batteries are set to become safer and more powerful, as carmakers including SAIC Motor and Chery Automobile outline road maps for the commercialisation of solid-state technology.
