NASA has released initial stunning photographs of Earth captured during the Artemis II crew's distant moon mission. The footage shows the planet from an incredible distance, approximately 100,000 miles away as the spacecraft moved towards the Moon.

The crew were about 100,000 miles (160,000 kilometres) from Earth and were quickly closing in on the moon.
