A recent release of 23 laúd tortoises in Los Cabos Beach, Baja California Sur, is part of ongoing conservation efforts for the species. The operation, coordinated by the local ecology and environment department, aimed to avoid desorienting the tortoises with red light, allowing them to return to the sea naturally.
