Baja California Sur Health Ministry Denies Snakebite Antidote Shortage
The Baja California Sur Health Ministry has denied a social media report of a shortage of snakebite antidotes at state-run hospitals, confirming the availability of faboterápicos for treating venomous snakebites. The ministry clarified that hospitals operated by IMSS Bienestar do have the necessary medications for emergency cases. A 25-year-old patient who was bitten by a cascabel snake in March received prompt treatment and showed favorable results.
