Far-right lawmakers in Israel’s Knesset were seen cheering and celebrating with champagne on Monday after a law was passed that would allow the execution by hanging of Palestinians convicted on terror charges for deadly attacks. The law has triggered widespread condemnation from rights groups and was labelled "cruel and discriminatory” by a UN spokesperson.
