Mexican President Rules Out Leak as Cause of Gulf Oil Spill
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has denied that a leak in state-owned oil company Pemex's ducts caused the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, instead attributing it to natural emissions from petrochemical plants. The government has reviewed over 400 oil wells in the affected area and taken steps to clean up beaches.
