Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño inaugurated the first phase of the Malecón Turístico El Cochórit in Empalme, Sonora, with an investment of 31.6 million pesos. The project aims to strengthen connectivity, economic activity, and public spaces in the region, positioning Empalme as a new tourist attraction in the country's northwest. A second phase is planned for 2026 with an estimated investment of 64 million pesos.
