The Mexican peso has strengthened against the US dollar following reports that US President Donald Trump does not want to extend the war with Iran beyond six weeks. Trump has also agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz after Easter. The peso has gained 0.76% against the dollar, reaching 17.97 units, but is expected to have a poor March, with a possible loss of over 70 cents.
