The Mexican Congress has requested the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) to conduct public consultations on the environmental impact of two projects in Baja California Sur: 'El Arco' and 'Santuario del Trío Checo'. The projects have raised concerns over water consumption and habitat disruption.
