Mexican airlines Volaris and Viva Aerobus are merging to form the Grupo Mexicano de Aerolíneas, which will surpass Aeromexico in passenger numbers. The deal was approved by Volaris' board of directors and will be announced formally on March 26. The new airline will have around 69% of Mexico's total passenger market share.
