A former head of the EU Border agency is under investigation in France for allegedly participating in crimes against humanity, denying previous allegations of mistreatment of migrants.
The Paris Court of Appeal opened an investigation into the former head of the EU Border agency on March 24 for potentially participating in crimes against humanity. The former border chief, Fabrice Leggeri resigned in 2022 following allegations of mistreatment of migrants at EU borders. Now a lawmaker for France's far-right National Rally party, he denies the allegations.
