The Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Sur (UABCS) has reinstalled a commemorative plaque at its Rectorate building, marking the 50th anniversary of the institution. The plaque was originally installed at the defunct Escuela Primaria 18 de Marzo, where the university first began its academic activities in 1976. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Tomás Balarezo Vázquez, the son of the first rector, who expressed gratitude to the university for honoring its 50-year milestone.
