Israel to Take Control of South Lebanon Up to Litani River
Israel's military will take control of south Lebanon up to the Litani River, amid ongoing strikes and targets Hezbollah, France 24 reports.
Israel said on March 24 that its military would take control of south Lebanon up to the Litani River, around 30 kilometres (20 miles) from the border, as deadly strikes pounded the country. The day before, Israel's finance minister had said Israel should annex the region. This comes as Israel continues to target Hezbollah targets in south Lebanon and southern suburbs of Beirut. FRANCE 24's Claire Paccalin breaks it down for us.
