During the first nine months of the year, authorities in Baja California Sur successfully identified and returned the remains of 51 missing individuals to their families. The Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Disappeared Persons conducted hundreds of field searches and secured significant prison sentences for kidnapping and forced disappearances.
