A Baja California Sur judge has formally bound over the former mayor of Mulegé and four other ex-officials for allegedly issuing 44 municipal property titles to themselves and relatives back in 2018. The anti-corruption prosecution team has been digging into these shady land deals meant to be hidden through later sales.
