Blockchain security firm PeckShield reported that the crypto industry endured 50 separate major hacks during August, marking the highest monthly attack frequency of the year. Despite the surge in exploit incidents, total aggregate losses declined month-over-month to $136.3 million as average individual heist sizes shrank.
