Genevieve Weakens to Category 2, Moves Away from Baja Sur; Rains Persist
Hurricane Genevieve has been downgraded to a Category 2 storm and is now located far west of Baja California Sur, posing no direct threat to local communities. However, its outer bands are still expected to cause heavy rainfall and strong swells in several Mexican states, including some along the Pacific coast. The storm is forecast to weaken further as it continues its westward track.
